We're a bulk storage and asset management specialist. We build new tanks to API650 and refurbish existing ones to API653. The inspections, non-destructive testing, piping, structural steel, coatings, fire protection and ancillary works that come with the scope are delivered by the same team on the same programme. You deal with one contractor.

Bulk Storage Tank Construction (API650)
New welded steel atmospheric tanks designed and built to API650. Fixed cone and dome roofs, geodesic domes, internal floating roofs, horizontal tanks and sampling tanks. We take the scope from foundation through to hydrotest and commissioning.

API653 inspection, repair and reconstruction. Floor plate replacement with IFR in place. Internal linings, external coatings, cathodic protection. Built to give the asset another 20 years of service.

A bulk storage project usually involves piping, structures and coatings alongside the tank itself. The same team runs all of it, on one programme and one QC framework.
Process piping
Manifold piping, surge lines, tie-ins and pump-station piping, welded by coded welders with full NDT and hydrotest packs.
Structural steel
Pipe racks, gantries, sprinkler-support frames and walkways. We build new and refurbish existing, with coatings specified for the environment.
Industrial coatings
Internal linings, external 3-coat systems and cathodic protection. We hold Akzonobel, PPG, Jotun and Carboline applicator approvals.
Fire protection
Sprinkler systems and fire-water distribution piping for tank farms, pump bays and depot infrastructure.
Foundation works
Ring beam, sand pad, oily-water containment and settlement monitoring. This is the first step of any tank build, and it determines how the tank ages.
Specialist installation
Geodesic domes, internal floating roofs (aluminium and stainless), floating-suction systems for jet fuel.
Specialist division
Chemical solutions, run by a metallurgical engineer.
Steve Wilkens runs the chemical solutions division: water treatment, hydrocarbon treatment, and specialist additives that extend the service life of tanks and pipework. It runs separately from the construction work, with the same focus on the asset.
