Webmech (Pty) Ltd ("Webmech", "we", "us") is a South African company registered in the Republic of South Africa, with its head office at 565 James Crescent, Halfway House, Midrand, 1685.

2. What information we collect
We only collect information you give us through this website, primarily through the enquiry form: your name, company, email address, phone number, project type, project location, and project description. We may also collect basic analytics data (page views, referrer, device type) through Google Analytics 4.
3. Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a budget estimate, and follow up on the project opportunity. Analytics data helps us improve the website's content and structure.
4. Lawful basis (POPIA)
We process your information on the basis of your consent (when you submit the enquiry form) and our legitimate interest in conducting our business and responding to potential clients.
5. How we store and protect it
Form submissions are processed by our own server-side script and sent directly to our enquiries inbox via Google Workspace SMTP. No third-party form service holds your submission. We retain enquiry information for as long as the project conversation is active, and for up to 24 months thereafter for follow-up purposes, after which we delete it unless a contract has been concluded.
We use HTTPS for all transmissions and rely on the email security controls provided by our email provider.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Operationally, your information is accessible to:
- Webmech team members involved in responding to your enquiry.
- Google Workspace (email service for our enquiries inbox): privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager): aggregated, non-identifying analytics data only.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (captcha to prevent automated form abuse): privacy policy.
7. Cookies
This site uses only essential cookies for site functioning, plus Google Analytics cookies if you have not opted out. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
8. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; object to processing; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
