Tank Coating Refurbishment, Botswana.

Brief

The client's tank in Botswana needed a coating-only refurbishment. The steel still had design life left, but the internal lining and external coating systems had reached the end of theirs.

Scope

Internally we blast cleaned the floor and first shell strake to the specified Sa standard and applied a new lining.

Externally we wet sweep blasted the tank with product still inside, and applied a fresh coating system to specification.

Outcome

Tank returned to service within the planned out-of-service window. Coating warranties registered with the manufacturer. Inspection pack handed over with full audit trail.
